Kw Status: Eligible, Paused or Low Search Volume

The new Adwords Beta Interface no longer lists keywords as "Active”, see image:

Keywords will now be classified as either:

• Paused
• Eligible – previously called “active”
• Low search volume – usually not showing ads

If your bid is below the first page bid estimate, your ad may still be active, or not, its a dynamic system. You will now see the message below “eligible”:

Previously, in the current (old) interface, we could only see these kw states only if we hovered over the keyword analysis tool, as the keyword as listed as either active or paused only.

I am very impressed by this semantic change, as “eligible” is more accurate than “active”. Thank you.

This is definitely a welcome upgrade :)
